My name is Katie, I graduated from Pranava’s 200 hr Yoga Teacher program through Yoga Alliance. I started teaching some classes at a local country club after I earned my certification, and occasionally teach some specialty classes around town. I hope to be a certified yoga therapist one day. Yoga is my passion.
I discovered yoga after recovering from multiple health problems, including cancer, an eating disorder, and mental health challenges. Yoga helped me connect to my inner self, encouraging me to feel physically and mentally stronger.
Although yoga is my passion, I’m also a behavioral technician at a local ABA clinic. In my free time, I love tending to my plants, singing and dancing, hanging out with my friends and family, and spending time in the mountains.
As a teacher, I will hold a space for any body to come practice. As a friend, I’ll encourage you to try your best, feel your strength, and help you breathe through the difficult.
Thank you for joining me on my journey!
See you around :)
About Red Rocks Yoga
In January 2020, Katie met up with Red Rocks Physical Therapy to set up a small yoga studio in their space. They supported Katie’s vision and encouraged her to dream big. Katie’s family and friends helped set up the space, making it feel like home. Red Rocks Yoga welcomes everyone and all skill levels. Modifications can be made to a posture to include every body.
Due to COVID-19, In person classes have been paused. Katie posts new yoga classes each week. Each of these videos can be accessed at anytime after purchasing. Donations are welcome, they go directly to Katie as she saves toward a 500hr yoga teaching certificate.
Red Rocks Yoga is about connection. Yoga, meaning “union” in Sanskrit, connects us to our body, breath, and even the people we practice with.
See you on the mat!
